Reconnect work environments with nature

Nature offers undisputed benefits to humans. Unconsciously or consciously, our brain is stimulated by contact with natural elements. Scientific research in psychology and physiology demonstrates the positive effect of nature on creativity, cognitive abilities and learning.

Human Spaces’ study “The Global Impact of Biophilic Design in the Workplace” shows that office workers surrounded by natural elements, such as greenery and natural light:

– are 6% more productive;
– demonstrate a 15% higher level of well-being;
– are 15% more creative.

Improving air quality:
· Can reduce sickness absenteeism rate by 35%;
· Can increase crisis response by 131%, strategic solutions by 288%, information use by 299%;
· Can improve the hormone oxytocin, responsible for positive emotions by 15 times and decrease the stress hormone, cortisol by 7 times.

An easy and efficient solution

“We can survive without food for two weeks, without water for four days, but only a few minutes without air” – Aki Soudunsaari, Founder of Naava –

The autonomous green walls of Naava are solutions that touch both the theme of the air and that of the spirit of the Well certification. As humans, we are naturally “wired” to connect with nature. It then seems logical to integrate the concept of nature (biophilia) into the construction environment and the design of our workplace.

We then set up various partnerships to integrate this aspect into our offer and we can now offer you the intelligent green walls of Naava across Quebec.

Naava walls are made up of a ventilation system that helps plants draw air from the space and repel the oxygen created by them. With the help of a reservoir contained at its base, as well as an irrigation system, the plants are thus supplied with water independently. An LED light bar is also integrated into the system to provide plants with the light they need to photosynthesize. Everything is connected to a management computer and to an application that collects data on temperature and humidity and thus adapt the ventilation and irrigation system of these green walls according to the environment. It is a turnkey biophilic solution requiring no construction intervention.
